Have you been looking for a great credit card? Zero percent or no interest credit cards are the best type of credit card to have because the consumer is not charged any interest on the balance that they carry for a specified period of time. This period of time is usually between six months to one year long and is usually called an introductory APR.

Most consumers carry balances on their credit cards so if they can qualify for a zero percent credit card then they can transfer some of their other credit card balances onto their new credit card. This can be a great cost savings for many people because interest fees can be very high on credit cards because these fees are how the credit card companies make a profit.

One credit card that offers a zero percent introductory APR rate is the Discover More card; they offer this rate for a time period of six months. Discover also offers cash back rewards on the purchases that consumers make with their new credit card. Another credit card that offers a zero percent introductory APR rate is the Citi Platinum Select MasterCard. This card’s introductory rate has a time period of up to one year. The card has no annual fee and you can earn extra cash and discounts on certain products that the company is associated with.

It is important to read all of the fine print when you apply for a credit card; you need to understand what your interest rate is and what finance charges and fees you will have to pay for. Credit cards are a huge responsibility; many people use their credit cards for every purchase that they make. Every time you swipe your credit card you will have to pay interest on the amount of money that was spent. This can really add up during the year so finding a great zero percent credit card with a great interest rate after the introductory period ends can be very beneficial financially.
